Start measuring up the nooks and crannies in your boot so when you start the 'operation' everything sits snugly, your boot carpet is (i've found) a good indicator on the floor size, but just in case, use some cardboard and cut it out as a template :)

:stoopid:

also remember that the boot still has to close, made that mistake with my lancer:redface:

also are you goin to put it between the strut towers or in a back corner? I rekon it would look mad smack bang in the middle at the back trimmed in black carpet (goes with the sub IMO) so when you open the boot you see it goin BOO!

I have a few panels from my old boot install lying aroung. I got nothing to do with them. U can take them and use them as a template or use them in your install. Oh, its just trim panels. My boot install is in the 'hall of fame' thread somewhere. It's white vinyl.

The boot install thread got wiped... and we are trying to re-make it up again

Shame you aren't in T'ville... I have a sub box that's 42L and fits PERFECTLY into the cavity between the wheel arches in the boot, for a stealthy install...

A big problem with the 3rd gen magna boots is that the wheel arches bulge out from the side in a circular angle... On the bottom of the boot between the arches you seem to have about 93cms to play with, but 10 cms higher up its only about 90 cms between the arches.. It caught me out when I was doing my measurements once..

Big things you want to think about in your design are accessibility to the spare tyre, whether you want the ski hole to be covered or not, boot rattle (and deadening to cope with)....

Davo!
