Does anyone know where i can get a good second hand driving light for lhs 03 VR AWD? For a decent price, all the wreckers are only interested in selling a complete front end and Mitso want $495 ea?!?! There is nothing available aftermarket, (that I can find anyway).

Cheers.Nathan

This is where ebay is your friend, they occationally come up on there and you're looking at around 200 for the pair. Other than that in the for sales section of this forum sometime members sell too.

I'm looking for a pair myself actually lol

Nathan:
I have a pair that came off my TF Sports. I don't have the rubber boots that fit over the back of the bulbs cos I reused them on the brand new ones I got 9but I am guessing you have the boot off your broken one anyway?). Only reason I swapped the lights is that the old ones had some tiny tiny stone chips on them 9which you actually can't see now that I have put self adhesive stone films on the. Anyways, $100 plus postage to you for the pair if interested and if they fit your car.

Sounds good. Any chance you could send me a pic so i can check that they will fit? Mine is a TL Vr AWD. I don't know if the lights are any different or not.

Cheers Nathan.

They aren't driving lights they are fog lights - different pattern and purpose entirely.

If you want proper driving lights, get yourself a pair of Hella 140/160 or 180's and a unibar...

Sure. I'll take some pics tonight and post. I'll read you off the part numbers too so you can check them against yours for a match

They are different. TL ones are designed specifically to fit in the holes under the headlights. You also need to buy the filler part that the lights fit into.

TL foggies are expensive as hell, even at cost price. Your best bet is to stick with the wreckers or find someone who wants the opposite side. Hopefully ill get to the magna wrekcers here in WA this week so ill have a look for ya and see if they have a single one.

Thats the info I've been wanting to know for ages! I've got a unibar, but am not sure how to attach it (it came with no screws). I know it has to attach to the metal frame of the bumper. What I'd love to know which driving lights are the best for country driving. Hella 181's (5633/100, http://db.hella.com.au/cgi-bin/catalogue.pl?flcmd=preview&flmaint=781)? The 160's have better distance (http://db.hella.com.au/cgi-bin/catalogue.pl?flcmd=preview&flmaint=776). What about the Rallye FF's? Are they overkill? Pretty pricey. Basically my para's suck, and I need better distance vision for country trips. Would a pencil/broad beam combo be the best solution?

tjawd I have 6" 100w Narvas on a unibar on my wagon - pencil and broad, works great. The unibar plate bolts in behind the number plate so no drilling holes etc. yeah it does look a bit wierd now I look at it but I wouldn't be without them now. and upgraded h light globes

Cant say enough, is FOG lights, look at your manual in regards what you are looking at. and remember you can get done for turning them on for incorrect use.

Yes Ebay is the cheapest they can be as low as $99.00 a pair to $250.00

Cheers! I know I was off topic, but thats what I was hoping to do. I don't want to get ones that are too valuable, as they'll just get flogged off my car. Need them for the bush, especially at this time of the year when it gets dark early
