My cover on my fuel tank has been damaged by some IDIOTS who wanted to get fuel out of my tank while i was at work!
so here we go... Im not sure if this is in the right place
The cover is wrecked... so i was thinking.. what can i do to fix it!!
Glue doesnt work.... i glued it together... but then it sits wrong and doesnt open with the fuel release button unless you jam a screw driver into the cover damaging the paint in the process...
any ideas on what i should do!
Do mitis sell them?
Are there any better covers available

i think this calls for the work of wreckers....
i wouldnt use mitsu genuine parts for a fuel cover.. they'd take your wallet and run   plus, then you'd have to get it painted anyway :doubt:
so go to a wreckers, try find a filler with the same colour.. or if not, take it to a pannel beaters, get them to colour match it, and while your there, they can colour match your cars bumpers and all 8)
 food for thought

last time i wanted parts for a magna the guy laughed and said it was too new!....
So the chase begins!
Anyone know A good wrecker here in perth!
I need to get it before i work.
i work in a high.. crime area.. which happens to hold a lot of petrol sniffing theivin baskets.. even though they cant steal the petrol they still can do whatever they want and even take the pet cap!! hell im even scared to leave it outside tonight!

if you have a locking cap on your fuel filler, then why not leave it off, so they can see it??? but then you have a chance that they might try play with the lock and stuff it so YOU cant even get into it  :?
i donno..

what's the point? by the time they get to the fuel cap, you couldn't care less whether or not they took the fuel  but it would stop would-be pranksters from peeing into your tank :D

went to a local mitsi wrecker around 1 minute away!!!
had a silver tf that looked like it had been driven at high speed then launched into a brick wall!! it was a wreck!!
mostly everything taken inside but outside there was a nice filler lid for $10 which is pretty cheap in my opinion...
im gonna get the spray cans out :P and spray it white... hope that works out :P

You can get color match spray cans these days, not perfect but better than silver

Yeah Dupli-Colour ones are pretty good, that's what I used to do my front bar on my car...tho stupid me didnt prime it properly (there is a valid reason tho I swear! lol) and it's now peeling off!
But yeah the colour was really good and it's metallic. So white shouldn't be a problem at all.
