Hey 3rd gen peoples. Just intruding your section of the forums to ask you what colour the TJ Verada Xi backlight illumination is on the double din head unit?
Is it pure white? Or a yellowish/orange colour like the displays on the digital climate control??
If anyone has a pic of it "on" that would be great :)

Pale green, same as the console backlighting and digital odo backlight on a TJ II onward

Either your colour blind or I'm colour blind but my digital odo comes up the lcd white colour - with perhaps a tint of blue.

Likewise, the consol is all blue/white

I've done the colour blindness test, I'm not :D. I see it as a very light green though. I'm going to try some time and put new surface mount red LED's on, and change my console to all red. Mind you, I've said I'd do that a year ago, hasn't happened yet :)

Sorry to the OP - not about the Verada double din.

Yeah likewise - the digital odo is blue to me.

So is the odo green on yours?

To OP: Im under the impression the double din verada unit will have similiar boat anchor quality the single head unit version suffers from - aftermarket would be a better choice if you can get away with it.

The KJ verada double din unit is much better than TJ II single din unit. I then upgraded to a KL double din unit, better again. I agree the single din unit really sucks.
About the colour, I'd take a picture, but the car is still at the crash repairers. Been without it 3 weeks now (all for two broken rims :nuts: ). Must be my eyes

Guys any idea where I can get the little lights to change the colour of the dash, console etc? Are they expensive?

On my KE they are just ur normal little wedge bulb. I picked up LED ones for ~$10 for a pair, required 4 all up, so $20. Got em at Supercheap.

In the end I put the normal ones back in as I felt they looked a little too ricey for me.

Jason (EGO) changed his climate control to red I believe - try asking him.
