1. Ever since I ran an 'engine flush' my engine seems to be blowing smoke continously.

2. Idle seems to be around 1,200 rpm once warm ever since I cleaned out my throttle body?

I think I need that new engine now.

Well i only know 2.6 engines but here goes.

The idle speed being high would be because of the idle set screw. I had a throttle body clogged with oil and shit, when i cleaned it out my idle was around 1500, then i just tinkered with the screw and it dropped again :D

Hope this helps.

As with the oil burning.... i dunno

I had the same thing happen to me.

Engine flush and Magnatec oil caused the bores to glaze up. Oil slips buy the rings and out the back end. Oh and yeah I had an Automotive Engineer confirm this. (Cypher those bikies were qualified !)

I just got a re ring as the head was shot. In the end a whole new engine was shoved tin there for the cost of the head and timing chain !

Dodgey as all hell but goes a treat ;)

If you allow the car to idle for ta few minutes and then give her a kick of the accelerator does it blow smoke then? If so it's the valve guides.

mate following you in adelaide you definatly have shot stem seals, this is a fairly easy fix.
I wold not go so far to say you have glazed bores, more than likely you have removed the sludge around the stem seals and they do bit time leaking now.
As for the TB, short the engine check connector, set the base idle and you will be fine.
