Hey guys,
I have only just noticed that my air vents aren't working! They still flow air, and the hot/cold works, but it just doesn't blow anything when i turn up the fan speed - anyone else had this problem?
Whats the first thing I should be checking? Is there a plug behind the console which could have fallen off? Car in question is a 99 TH Magna Sports

This happened to me when I did my stereo, turned out the rotary vent contol switch is quite delicate, and I had damaged it. From memory I took it ao Mitsu dealer, and they fixed it for 1/2 hours worth of labour.
have you mucked around behind your centre console lately?

You'll probably find you didn't "damage it", just didn't put it back together the right way around. I did the same thing and drove around without my vents working for ages after installing my HU, then when I pulled it apart again to paint the console I realised the folly of my way and fixed it.
It's pretty easy to rectify, just make sure the knob is turned so that the all the way one way, and then make sure the cable is either all the way in, or all the way out before you connect the cable back up the rotary switch thingy.

Assuming the centre console has been re assembled correctly the fan resistor could be gone.

I haven't... but the stereo shop that installed my DVD player did - I have to go back to get my tv tuner put in.. Might get them to fix it!
