Some time in July... this month. There were rumours of the series 3 being released at the start of the month, but she'll be a few weeks away yet. Hopefully sooner...

The rocket launchers in the headlights are causing some issues. Should be resolved soon.

I was hoping a bit more would have been changed, i cant even see much of a difference!!

I highly doubt they will sell more 380's with this new look if you can call it that!!

I can see now why you were reluctant to post the pics !

I must say its a bit of an anti climax. Poor MMAL:cry: their shoe string budget is now getting smaller.

never really taken an interest in the 380, what has changed? it looks exactly the same as all the others. in all fairness, there really wasnt that big a change in series one to series two anyway was there? sorry, i'm a noob at 380's.

cheers,

And you can tell from the pics that the engine is the same, and other features like esc, curtain airbags etc aren't there??? Good eyes:)

I am still hopeful, cause if there isn't some substance to this upgrade, it is goodnight 380 aussie production, MMAL will be imports only......

...and not only that but now wannamagna is trying to convince us that the VRX is the key. Once again raising our hopes for a climax. And I'm old enough to have had too many of those. :bowrofl:

Blah!

Blah blah ALTHOUGH Mitsubishi has decided to can plans for a supercharged version of its Australian-made 380, which was centrepiece of the company’s stand at the Sydney motor show last October, an array of improvements to the big sedan is on the way.

Late this month, Mitsubishi will launch a Series III version of the 380. As well as equipment upgrades and cosmetic alterations, Mitsubishi says it will produce all automatic 380 Series IIIs with an LPG-compatible engine. Dual-fuel conversions will use hardware developed by LPG specialist Impco and cost $4500. The company plans to allocate space near the end of its Tonsley Park, Adelaide, production line, for the dual-fuel conversions to be carried out.

Around the middle of next year the 380, which has been in production since late 2005, will be given a proper facelift. At the same time, an electronic chassis stability system will be made a standard feature of the car. The 380 needs ESP to match Holden, Toyota and Ford. The VE Commodore and Aurion, which both launched in 2006, have it as standard, and Ford recently made it standard in most Falcon sedan models, so the move will take Mitsubishi to parity with its key competitors.

While sales of the 380 are down almost 20 percent compared to last year, Mitsubishi Australia chief Rob McEniry says that with the continuing decline in large car demand and the arrival of two all-new competitors, this result wasn’t unexpected. The affable executive points out that Mitsubishi’s imported models have been selling strongly and that the company’s share of the total market has risen significantly.

seems to be a more toned down version of the TMR380 kit. ie. The frontbar looks more integrated, rather than appearing to have a lip spoiler on the front.
