View Full Version : TH Magna 3L auto conking out when stoping

It starts perfectly, idles fine, drives as good as they do.. but then slowing down to pull into a driveway or stopping it will conk out.
any ideas?

i have this problem but mine doesnt actually stall unless im braking hard from fast speeds....
it is most likely our idle speed motors
take it to ur local mitsu and see what they say

i gather yours is auto???
if it is, then i dare say its your ISC (idle speed control) not that expensive sub 100$ part if i remember correctly =)

Yeah its an auto, only bought it today after coming so close to buying a VS commo series 1, what a mistake that would've been, especially for $12500, the magna looks so much newer and nicer, I picked it up at an auction for $10500, 3 litre auto, TH 98 model, sedan, only 65 000 kms, ex lease. Im happy :)

$104.50 for new aftermarket part from Burson's, 20mins to fit.

Yeah its an auto, only bought it today after coming so close to buying a VS commo series 1, what a mistake that would've been, especially for $12500, the magna looks so much newer and nicer, I picked it up at an auction for $10500, 3 litre auto, TH 98 model, sedan, only 65 000 kms, ex lease. Im happy :)
