theres air fuel on the left as someone said.

the vu din gauges are the ones from autobarn, so easy to hook up and they measure temp *run the temp wire to an amp or something* left and right channel and then the right hand one is volts.

the gauge on the right is a speco volt meter, i know i have volts already but the speco came before the din gauges did lol.

the stereo going in is:

ECLIPSE CD7100 Headunit
Front: Jaycar Kevlar Splits 6.5"
Sub: Eclipse 87151.4 15inch in custom sealed box
Front Amp: Eclipse EA2000
Sub Amp: Alpine MRP-M850

should be installed in a few weeks actually.

the dash lights are EASY. if u cant find anything using the search function. i will help you out

thanks for the comments and hopefully i answered everyones questions

oh and jus for reference... all that air fuel meter cost me is the autometer black cup $40

and the speco one cost me $40 also

so that explains why i did it.

lol
i had the speco hooked up professionally but did air fuel myself since it was so easy

Looks like you've done a good job mate!

Personally, I'm not a fan at all. Sorry, way too rice for me. But the workmanship is good!

So basically now, if anything goes wrong with your car, you have no excuse at all cause you have a gauge for just about everything on the car!
Btw, Do your eyes get sore at night???

Hey mate, looks good. I especially like the panel of guages under where the HU will go - as this is what I want to do eventually, but probably only want 2 or 3 guages. Did you make the panel, or buy it??

Looks nice, although I found that after a while I got tired of having bright lights everywhere, especially when driving through mountain roads at night. The glare was horrendous. Now I even set the head unit face to all turn off at night.

Notice in some Euros how everything on the instrument panel turns off at night, except for the speedo needle itself?

I have also done the coloured gauges thing, I used regular coloured globes from Autobarn Dandynong. Used colored globes if you can get them as they are brighter than LEDS. This i have noticed.

dont like all the gauges, not just for stereo equipment.

yeh i understand there would be people who dont like it and others who do, thats understandable.

the leds are 3a racing ones from autobarn, single LED with a cylinder peice ontop of the globe that concaves inwards. $9 for 2

i might ditch the volt meter for a 2" version and put it where the air fuel is.

the gauges in the din pocket are only sold in that range (temp, L + R chan, volts) and come in silver or black face. they light up blue or orange and have a dim function. they retail for $100ea

also keep in mind that its a long exposure shot...so they seem alot brighter then they actually are.

and hey if glare bothers you....dim the dials and turn the din pocket gauges off (runs off remote wire to stereo)

just curious did those gauges under the cd player fit perfectly in or did u make a bracket or face? what sort of bulbs did u use for the dash lights...? behind the spedo etc

s|r_b00st
09-07-2007, 10:17 PM
yeh man they fit in pretty nicely hey... i wish it had a fascia with it but still its ok hey.

the dash lights are single LED bulb by 3a racing, u can get them at autobarn (2 for $9)

for those interested in the DIN guages you can buy them like that

they can glow either blue or orange

they are made by US audio and retail in autobarn stores for $100
