As above. It has been rattling for over 6 months and tonight stopped working all together. Any ideas?

If it's been rattling for a while, possibly a stuffed bearing or broken fan. Either that or it could be something like a blown blower motor resistor, which can also cause those issues...

Easiest way to check it out is to just take the fan out and visually inspect it.
