When i borrowed my dads TJ2 exec i noticed that when the headlights weren't on, the dash all still lit up, like if you went into a tunnel you could still see what speed you were going.

Now i have a TL vrx magna ive noticed that only trip computer lights up when the headlights aren't on, and you are on ACC. If you turn the headlights on you still get the cool red gauges :D

I was just wondering if the entire thing was supposed to light up. Also i don't have the halo light around the ignition key, isn't that supposed to light up when i get in the car?

Im just asking as i have the car in for a diagnosis on Tuesday and i was wondering if i should mention all this to the mechanic dude.

They light up with the parkers on if thats what you mean.

its normal on TJ IIs its a high contrast dash. it lights up when the key is in acc or on.

lol that is so true the number of times i got pulled over for failing to have headlights on esp. at 3 in the morning lol

Hehe i did this too, but only because i got out of my car and back in and it screwed up my routine, so i saw the dash lights on and didn't even think about it.

so they didnt carry this feature over to the TL?
