Greetings all,
I have some major problems with my freshly rebuilt TP transmission. The problem occurred after the alternator gave out, and is probably owing to a voltage sag to the TCU...
Anyways, I have removed said TCU, opened and inspected it. Everything looks intact so, unless it's one of the IC's that have gone to lunch, I can't see a problem (and can't, at any rate, see how anything could logically get "blown" by a voltage sag - spike, yes... but not a sag...).
I'm wondering whether anyone might happen to have a known good TCU sitting around that I could borrow for a day or two to test with. If the transmission comes good, I know it *is* the TCU at fault - if not, I keep looking for the culprit (perhaps one of the sensors on the box?).
It's a damn pity it's not the same unit Mitsu fitted to the TM/N, as I have one of those sitting here doing nothing useful :-/
Anyone?
Cheers,
Mattt.
