Hey Guys n Girls.
I already have my head unit in and i've had no problem. But the question is is the only way to get the head unit in and out to take the whole centre console and everything out. Or is there a easier way???

nah no real way to avoid it. but it's not really that hard as long as u have a phillps head screw driver and a spare 1\2 hour or so. only about 8-12 screws need to come out then your pretty much there. just the plastics have to come off but the steel box thing that the head units bolts in (don't know name) can stay. Or depending on how it was installed u might get away with just removing the side plastic bits.

hahaha half hour? Mine took me like an hour to get it all off thanks to the plastic being oddly warped and jammed :S

Finally got it off and had a head unit in after about 4 hours... had to rip the entire middle metal console frame out to drill 4 new holes in it tho, as the standard design doesn't support modern head units (not the pioneers at least!). Every bolt got jammed in place and I sliced my hands up badly from all the sharp edges... so watch out for that when u do anything with the head units!

Doubt it, mine's a TP auto and I just take the 2 small plasic bits off and undo the 2 screws holding the headunit in.

TPs are different to TNs, they redesigned it so it wasn't as easy to steal the radio.

TNs, (and TMs) it's pop the side panels, and front plate off.

TPs, it's disassemble the whole shebang.

well they must have been kids or just dumb thiefs cos anyone who owns one and has gone through the *opps locked the keys in* knows how easy it is to get acess without having to smash a windows. Thank good for the club lock and hidden kill switch or mine might not be here now:D
