Use fishing wire to cut through the gunk

Also be aware that in all likelihood the paint underneath will be a lot less faded than that around it, so it may look obvious. In which case, rebadge with some chrome TJ badges! :D

my paint seems to match up ok. i gave it a polish aswell, but there is still the outline of the old badge.

I used a knife to lever the badges off... then a paint scraper for some of the glue... then some nail polish remover for the gunk and then washed it all off, polish etc.
No scratches :D Probably a good thing I was getting the boot repainted though :bowrofl:

Your badges weren't 15 years old dude :P
Unless you're talking about your first gen

Did it this way to my car only a few weeks ago. HIGHLY reccomended! heating up the glue not only makes the badge come off easier, but I only had to wipe the glue/tape off! It was so much easier!
I did my Magna Tuffy's way, still worked but I've found heating it up is ALOT easier!
Edit - Lucifer, we heated up the badges on my mates 87' Vector, and the badges came off ALOT easier. So it works on both newer and older badges.;)
