:) :) :)
I am so happy with it - has made a nice difference especailly to acceleration...
Got installation done at Micks Motorsports which is local and reccomended by Haltech and they have done a good job so I think I have found my new workshop too as was looking for a performance workshop
Dynoed at 175.8hp which is not too shabby
Thanks to Disiple for your part in this too

that figure is pretty good for a non ralliart 3.5L. That is almost standard ralliart figure there from an exhaust and tune.

Good stuff, I was quite impressed when I got my interceptor installed/tuned.

Good stuff. Glad you're happy with it. You might see a little more gain with a full exhaust system, but like you said in your email, better to save and get the whole lot at once.

Cost? How long it took? Yep, would like to know the before and after figures, if ever done.

wow...that is good.....I think i got a little ripped off in the factory eng dept. I couldn't quite manage that figure with stage one cams....Might try a different tuner next time.
Disciple, i think the autos hold the figures down a bit.

That's a very good dyno result for an auto (perhaps too optmistic, to be honest). Did you do a run before the interceptor for comparison's sake?

Wow... I didn't realise it was an auto.... just saw the word "manual" in the sig and assumed it referred to the TJ in question.
Hate to be a negative nelly, but it doesn't sound right. Any chance of posting the dyno graph?

Ok I will attach the graph... just scanned it in.
Cost was $550 fit and tune + the bargain price that disciple sold the unit to me for :)
Yes the car is an auto.
As can be seen from the chart - maybe ??? - it was putting out about 155hp before the installation this was the only previous dyno it has ever done...

wow I'd just like to say that that power curve is VERY smooth

looks like they got off the throttle early for the first run, that's a big drop off.

Either that or it got a really good tune. Looks to be making heaps more power & torque top end.

doesn't add up........ 180km/h in 4th gear wouldn't be anywhere near redline. Or is it a 5spd auto??
Also agree with sports, judging from the secondary graph - they got off the gas at least 1500rpm earlier on the before run. I mean you can obviously see that the "after" run is a big improvement on the before - but definetly abit misleading when it comes to comparing peak power before and after.
Having said that - 150hp from an untuned auto sounds high, especially if they backed off early...... weird.

the power curves are too much the same up to where it fades off, i'd say that both curves are an after run, and on the first curve, his foot slipped off the pedal a little bit, he's floored it again, and realised he stuffed the graph.
just a standard tune shouldnt still be making exactly the same power as an aftermarket tune at around 3500rpm... normally with an a/m tune its a few kw above stock all the time

Her profile says tippy and 2003 TJ - Depending on if it's an exec or sports would determine the transmission. Exec = 4 speed, Sports & VRX = 5 speed. Still, 175hp atw in an auto is damn impressive. That's about what my Ralliart was stock atw and it's manual.

thats a good output!! top stuff for bugger all mods!!
i think the output would be approx the same wether its a 4 or 5 spd auto as the 1:1 gear is the same and i cant see the 5 spd being moreor less efficient...
now time for a 1/4mile run should do a low low 15 there..
interesting to see though that the power id pretty much the same till the top end where it used to fall over now it really takes off, should be worth taking it to the redline now when before was a waste

I'm sorry, but there's no way the OP is making that power from those mods and an auto, the graph is unrealistic. And I agree, the graph doesn't look right, we all know with our cars a retune doesn't really help that much with where the power cruve drops off, thats due to the factory cam profile running out of puff at the top end.

Nice gain there.
I want one too now. If i gain 17hp, ****, i would be close to 200hp w00t
