did you check the fuses?
Um if not all i can say is is theres a connector between the door and mirror so you can pop off that little triangle cover in the interior and see if that loom is still connected..:S
If not go to a wreckers and ask to try one on your car and see if that fixes it

I'd say fuses too if they've both stopped working. Highly highly unlikely that both connectors/looms have given out.

I think the power window fuses are in the cabin, just above your right knee when you're sitting in the pilot's chair.
It's a small black box, about 60mmx60mm, with a drawing on top of the fuses underneath. Pull the cover off and find the right fuse, pull it out and see if it's burnt. If it is, replace with a matching type, if it's not, then the problem is somewhere harder to find.

I cant remember if its underneath the drivers side or in the front under the bonnet, but just take off the plastic cover at the drivers side and it should say.
Easy way is to pluck the fuse out with pliers and you can see if its got a burnt patch in it, then replace. Once I just pulled them all out and replaced them all, cost like $10 or something.

dude have you checked that the switch isn't gone? my switch stopped working out of the blue one day. was thinking up all d-day scenarios and it turned out to be a $10 switch.
Just go to the wreckers and grab one. grab a couple if u can, just so that it eliminates the possibility of buying a dud.

Just a note, your driver's side fuse box should have a couple of spare fuses embedded. Quite cool, actually.

I am pretty sure wreckers factor small items being pocketed into their prices. It's sort of an unwritten thing where you buy a big ticket item but pocked globes and switches and anything else you can get into your pockets. Throwing panels and bigger parts over the fence then driving around to collect them is a different story.

Even if you'd never even seen a fuse before having one plonked in your hand, a dead one is pretty obvious.
They may not always be burnt when they blow (many are not even slightly discoloured when they go), but the one universal characteristic of a blown fuse is a broken wire. And how many things do you know of that work with a broken part? :bowrofl:
