All the leads on tight and in the right places?

Make sure you have done the plugs up properly and not just tightened the socket. I thought I had torqued up the rear plugs once and it ran like crap. Turned out I had torqued the socket up against the wall around where the plug sits. It was only half in.

make sure your injector conections are sound and no gasket leak or vaccume leaks in the system

Could also be a dud plug - rare these days but does happen.
After checking everything else, rotate one of the old ones back through to see if you can find it.

Thanks everyone for your replies, i gave up on the magna tonight, will try again tomorrow. Looks like im driving my commodore around until its fixed.
Any other inputs welcome,
Thanks
Check that you got standard heat range plugs, a colder plug can give a rough idle. Run down the line, check dizzy and coil connections, one of the leads may be off. Try putting the old plugs back in just to rule out the new plugs.
Also make sure you put the leads back in the right firing order, you know.. this is probably your problem.

checked all the leads to make sure they are in the right order, reckon its the plugs not in properly or a dud plug. Its such a bloody hassle because you cant test the plugs one at a time unless you put the inlet manifold on and off everytime you test it. Im sure everything will work out, ill try again when i get home from work.

well, checked everything on the car, i cant find anything wrong, the car is good until it warms up, then it starts missing. Could i have damaged a sensor or something? I think its time to take it to a mechanic. Last time i change the rear plugs. Thank God i wont own that car in 100 thousand k's.

yeah my car is good till it warms up too, then it's on 5cyl  it cos of the cold start enrichment it idles higher and runs richer...
how bad is it missing? like constantly, under load, full throttle?
get a professional oppinion....
but first i'd be finding out which cyl is missing... when the car is running pull a lead of the dizzy (wear thick gloves) and if it runs bad not connected re connect, if it improves move on the the next lead untill you pull out the lead that makes no difference... then go from there
you didnt drop something into the cylinder did you, happen to a vic member look it up.... costly plug change
just fyi useless as it may be.... but the magna engine will run on as little as 3cyl and still run reasonabily.... dont ask how i know lol

I had my van serviced once and when I picked it up it was running like a chaff cutter.Thre mechanics looked at it for ovr an hour and couldn't find out why.So I took it home and found the problem in minutes....the apprentice had knocked the plug and there was absolutely no gap.

also did you check the gaps on the plugh before you put it in??? and did you drop or knock the plugs???
when i serviced my magna once while inserting the plug in the hole i knocked it against the plenum and that closed the gap a little on the plug. put everything back to normal fired her up and it started to miss and was also rough ion idle. pulled it out and checked the gapping and it was less then what i messured it before so corrected the gap put it back in and all was good so maybe ceck that also.

If the missing cylinder is in the front bank, check that the wiring to the injectors isn't pinched under the inlet manifold - particularly at the right hand corner as you look at the engine.
