Can anyone help me?

I have dented or crooked honeycomb mesh inside the air flow sensor. Due to struck by screwdriver when changing the filter.

Now will these affects the performance or the air flow that gets through it?

I'm soon going to buy 2nd air flow sensor...and its cheap & perfectly working...will these gonna be a solution. Or just leave as it is?

When i checked through Mitsubishi spare parts dept...well they say that TF & TE share the same air flow sensor...so there shouldn't be any problems right?

THANK FOR HELPING ME...:)

Guess it would affect the readings a bit. Can u try to bend them back with thin long nose pliers for time being - or did u actually cut some of the wiring?

that peice of honeycomb should pull out, all it does is straighten the air by taking out the turbulence so the air flow meter can accuratly read the amount of air going in to the engine!

short term i dont think it will make a difference but don't take my word for it!

Thanks for the replies,

I've dent some of the honeycomb...so it looks like they closed some of the honeycomb mesh...sort of blocking.

What you think guys...does $35 of 2nd air flow meter sounds worth the money?

Cheers.

CONSIDERING THAT A NEW ONE WILL COST AROUND $450, $35 DOLLARS DOESNT SOUND THAT BAD!!!
