Anybody ever used these people? I always thought paint protection, especially from dealerships etc. was just a gimmick. But after looking at the before/after photos on this website in the gallery and reading about it, it seems really good. The cars that they have in the gallery have that real deep glass-like shine that I thought I'd only be able to get with a very expensive professional respray...

I recommend you ask a few of the professional detailers over at www.detailparadise.com.au Who can give you an informed respsonse on paint protection. Great website. hope that helps

That's a very big generalisation.

could you find anywhere on the site where it explains the exact process they go through?
maybe i'm blind but i could only find "we use the latest blah blah technology" not the actual process. in their step by step guide they just say " the paint protection is applied" .
what is applied? how does it work?
i am genuinely interested as the owner of a black car and for professional reasons being a spray painter.
it could be good but the site seems a little vague, especially for how much $$$ they want.

email them and ask exactly how it's done? if they're ridgey didge, they shouldn't have a problem sharing the process.

On this (http://www.gtpaintprotection.com.au/how_much_to_pay.htm)page there's a bit more info about the product, and it also points you to this website: http://www.paintprotectiondirect.com.au/

I dont know if its the same thing but when we bought our KE new in 96, we paid like $500 to have the paint protection added.
It comes with a service booklet and all for routine checks.

I know a few car detailers and even some at VIP care care and they all say its just a really good polish, nothing to special about it.

Saying that, i paid $250 mates rates to have my dark green KH polished well at Majic hand car wash and i tell you what, it came up like brand new, getting rid of all those wash swirl marks you can see in dark colour cars.
They spent like 6 hours on it and the guy was saying, you have to do a cource to learn how to do it properly.
