Getting the car lowerd more in the next couple weeks and just wanna know how far ppl have gone. im lookin at andrewD and Mr ego, as i know they are low.

Ive been think 4" at the front and 5" in the rear.

I want it low and will go as low as i can.

Please dont post if ur going to winge bout that being to low and too impractical.

I wouldnt have 20's if i wanted to be practical.

That is all.

EDIT:

This is how it is now.

my car was on bumpstops on the front and damn loe at rear, it was 55.. off the ground generally and that was with little baby sideskirts beings the sports kit , no trouble here, and never realy scraped neither..

handled awsome, however i only went hard on hils roads i knew as it was a little to bouncy for my mind to be happy going round a corner and hitting a bump

No idea how low in relation to standard height anymore, but apparently I couldn't go much lower without it being on the bump stops.

Also low enough that I have dents / scratches on my sump  , and have nearly destroyed my HPC coated dump pipes  .

I guess that doesn't help you much does it??

haha.. same! Althought i have actually punctured my sump and dumped all 5L of oil on the road! Was good fun!

When i had my 16's on the lowest point on my car was the engine cross member and that was 60mm off the ground. Although now with the 18's i think it's raised a bit. As for how low... go as low as you want!:D

low = good fun

except ive had to take off all flares from the wheelarches, which has definatly increased the poo factor of the car

as for handling - it goes alright :bowrofl:

as for scraping - not if your switched on whne your driving... most things can be takes slowly & on angles.. how patient are you?

as for lack of wheel arch flares - yeah yeah ill fix it one day... for the moment its living in the too hard basket :)

i couldnt tell ya how low my car is now...

my springs are the lowest pedders ones then compressed, then compressed again, then sagged a lil bit (one day to be compressed again)

my fronts are hard up against the bumpstops (which have been more than cut in half)

my rear is the same but has movment in it and tucks rim... no guards have been modified or rolled, just an inner seam on the rear which isnt visable....

my exhaust was always the lowest part of the car and usually is on lowered cars, but since being s/c'd i got a new 3" exh and believe it or not it mounted much higher up than stock so i get good clearance....

also the awd always ran a taller wheel tyre combo same as verada, the early 3rd gens that were 15" had smaler diameter wheel/tyres from factory so with my 20" (stock rolling diameter) it makes the car 10-20mm higher than a TF exec for example on stock 15's..

bast thing cos of my higher exhaust and good offset of my wheels etc... i can drive my car normally, when going on cruises i see the other guys taking humps etc... sideways  like commodore drivers i laugh...

where i live i got a steep driveway and its fine :P

drives pretty nicley too, untill you go over a rough rail crossing etc... but having cars with no suspension since my 1st car (69 Valiant 2dr NO suspension lol) you get used to it...

this is what it looks like empty nothing in it

and and this is what it loks like full no passangers etc... (will look like this empty soon)

Thats almost how i want mine, maybe a tad lower.

If u could tell me roughly how many inches its been droped that would be awesome.

dont know from stock, all magnas seem to be at different heights when stock (vrx verada awd exec etc...)

lets just say 50mm ;)

when stock this is the first day i got my magna totally stock...:edit: NO THIS IS WITH 55mm lowered pedders (it's a lil bit lower than a normal fwd stock i believe, and springs were firmer)

you can proably kinda work out an approx drop from the pics...

but decide on what height you want and just tell the suspension joint... that what my guy does for me, i decide exactly where i want the guard and bang 1hr later it's compressed and im off again...

note: i cant get a wheel alignment done as the aligning places cant get a beam cos it's too low, but i have found a place that can align it properley (only 2 in Victoria) luckily for me they are 500m away :P

They very close to how mine is now.

Ive been to a couple suspension places round wagga and they all say it cant go any lower then what it is now.

i found all the good places said i could only go so low then i went to ozzytyres and they said how ever low you want. i went in and we measured how low i wanted it then the springs got made custom to that height, and my car should be lower but im sitting on bumpstops wont go any lower atm. so maybe if they are anywhere near you go there? but your going to have to do something about your bumpstops for sure if you want it as low as i think you should! ha. What can you do about bumpstops tho? i know andrew said you can chop them in half but how? can you buy bumpstops that are smaller?

dude your car will be the pimpest car in all of wagga lol

cant wait to see it. will look nice.

when i had the magna i would have loved to lower it this much at the rear and a little lower at the front but then i wouldnt be able to get in my garage without making some changes to the garage but them my mum would kill me lol

As far as i know theres nowhere in wagga that does that, other wise i would do that.

It sucks living so far away from all those things.

lookin at the 2nd pic u posted, the pic of how low u want ur car i wud say drop the front a little lower than that, thats my opinion, ur choice, i reckon it wud look prime tho, that is if u can and ur driveway isnt as ****ty as mine, mine is steep as a cu*t....so its not easy for my to dump mine like that, i cud do it but i wudnt be able to hav my car in the driveway which is dumb coz i live on warrigal rd, and thats not the kinda road where u can park on it outside ur house, but yea, lower the front a tad more OR not will look nice tho

lol

Ill have to say, ummm that one has flown straight over my head... but anyways, whats the reasoning behind going so damn low??... I cant see any practicality bout it, or increasing of handling... but thats all up too you. Althou Iam hearing you when you say, there is nothing out here, im too far away from anything decent lol...
