Hello Guys,I have just joined up to AMC and need some advice on a indicator light which is located in the dash console next to the open door indicator.
The light glows as a coffee cup with steam rising from it.
There was nothing abnormal in or around the engine, {I am sure I did not leave a cup of coffee in the boot at the last stop}
I hope some one can answer this.
I have spent the last hour looking at the various threads, this is truly a great site.

It is absolutely nothing to worry about!

The steaming-coffee-cup icon lights up after you've driven a certain number of minutes without turning the engine off - basically telling the driver to stop & take a break!

You can programme the coffee cup to come on after 30min, up to 2hr (standard)

It's the rest reminder warning. The interval can be changed using the mode button; I'll take a guess and say it comes on every 2 hours or so?

can that light be turned off without stopping?

Yes I believe if you press one of the buttons for the trip computer it turns the coffee-cup icon off.

Not sure if it can be turned off completely, but the time interval can be changed from 2hrs to longer or shorter.

Can be turned off - look in the manual.

Will be reset though if the battery is disconnected.

hey, at least you can turn this one off. In the VE, it's set for two hours, at which point, a note comes up with a park bench and a tree in the centre screen and it beeps three times. when "TRIP" is pressed, it minimises, but beeps three times every two or three minutes...be greatful yours is just a coffee cup! hahahalol

All warning lights can be turned off!

Just open up the dash and remove the bulb.

That's what I did in my last car when the engine light kept coming on.
