View Full Version : This is goodbye to the TS (pics)
Well i pick the new car up on Friday, this will be my last chance to take some pics of her before she is gone. She has been a faithful old girl, right up to the point where i realised it was going to turn into a money pit to keep her roadworthy over the next few years. If i was to keep, it would have been both an engine and gearbox rebuild in the near future. Brakes needed replacing all round, as well as all shocks and springs. Would have looked cool lowered i reckon.
I will let the pics do the talking!

get yourself a little hand-operated sprayer from the $2 shop, fill it with degreser and spray everything under the bonnet when the engine's cold. i never use pressure washer under my hood, always a bit worried t puts just that ittle too much pressure on little sensitive things. i just use a garden hose with the gun nozzles.
oh...and watch out for the distributor, you won't idle properly or you wont start at all if water gets inside...

Always sad to see a 2nd gen traded in. Me, I can't ever imagine selling mine. (though I will be disposing of my old 2.6 TR soon).
Sure was a clean car though cybermonkey.

I share your sentiment TR 300000.
I've been telling my mates who keep saying to me "get rid of...its a lump of junk" that i'm going to keep it until it either just stops running, or ends up costing me twice what its worth. at which point i'll probably sell and get a TJ.:)

Sad to see it go. The car had lots of potential. I remember seeing her when she was brand new :(
