2 quick thing,
my profile for a while has appeared that i hav a whiteline front strut bar and front and rear sway bars, i did this due to laziness really i cbf changing it, in otherwords i had them paid and ordered for, tomorrow they are being installed, AND i was just wanting a few quick responses,
1.......i believe the KH already has a stock front and rear sway bars is this correct???

2..........if so is it worth keeping the old 1s???
thanx

yes it should at least have a front one.
Can't see any reason to keep the old one unless u plan to return it to stock for selling it , or passing it on to a member that has a broken one??

The stock ones aren't as big as the whiteline ones tho so it would make a difference

Yep definitely ask for the old ones back from the install place, never hurts to able to return to stock.

Throw the old ones away. If you need to replace them with stock units just buy them from a wreckers.

Whording is for the weak and the pregnant.

Get them back and either keep em or sell em. no harm in getting them back.

KH has both front and rear sway bars. and unless you are going to go hardcore in the racing/drifting with a TT nos'd up engine you wont notice any difference - this was told to me by the head mechanic of a tuning house. but you be the judge.

on another note - my strut bars came from NSW (whiteline) but the idiots stuffed up and sent 2 rear ones! so im still waiting!

that guy at your head office is talking a LOAD, you will definitely feel the difference with the strut or sways. which ever you hav ordered... also i believe the strut bar is for the front not the rear, unless u meant the sway bar...

yea they seem to be all over the place, i had mine come over 2 weeks and it got held up at the outskirts of MELB for an audit inspection by and auditing officer or decective some crap, was a run around the bush for me, such an annoyance

the struts are available for both the front and rears and are different to sway bars.

this guy who told me has been in the racing industry for about 35 years, and i believe him when he tells me that there are better ways to spend money

do you belive everything your told or do you like to find out with first hand knowledge. It doesn't matter what kind of car you have (old granny one or fire breathing v8) getting rear sway bars or upgrading them will improve handling (less body roll, better cornering, more control) has nothing to do with what power the car has.

for eg. In my tp (stock 93kw)i put in a 16mm rear sway bar and since that i can take most corners an average of 10klm faster without realising cos there's less body roll. Heck even after that i change the front sway bar bushings for poly urethane ones and the difference was big , id even recomend for better handing just changing the bushes.
It's easy to say yea my mate who's done this for half a century recons blah blah blah.

Not digging at him but thats how misleading info comes about seeing as you haven't done it yourself to know .First hand knowledge means alot on forum cos if your the kind of person (like me ) who does all there own work on there car, Can find it frustraing siffting through the hear say to find what they really need to know. Just there's sooo many *yea my dads mate who's been doing it for 60 years *. Alot of the time there behind in the technology and aren't as helpfull as they think with these new car.

for eg. when i first went to put the magna on the road i took it for a rwc cert , now the mechanic who's been doing it for 40 yrs or so was trying to tell me where this part was that was stuffed (strut insulator) without lifting the hood. he told me to go home and undo the 3 nuts on top of the strut and remove the strut and spring to get to the insulator. when i told him that there's only 1 bolt\nut on top of the strut, he pretty much jumped down my throat saying he's been doing this more than hot dinners i had eaten ( i pissed him off cos i questioned his knowledge). then i lifted the hood and showed him:redface: didn't say a word after that cos i was right.

don't take it to harsh just hear say can be a pain and confusing. Thats why i only post in threads that i have had knowledge in (like ive done it before).
anyway carry one.

oh and shean u asked about the sway bars right (thats why i said u should atleast have a front one), did you bend down and look under the back of your car before assuming that it was there.
The whole white line thing was your fault, i know that sounds harsh but it's the truth. If you don't know anything about cars then maybe it should be left to someone who does, so they can deal with the drama's.
peace out boys

One ponders how you would go drifting in a KH Verada.

for the sake of saying so lets say your right and i am wrong, that i shud hav checked under the car to see whether my car had a rear sway bar stock...even then where on the whiteline site wud i hav gone to get a KIT, it isnt in the verada parts list, where it shud be!!! as this is wat is needed for a KH (my car)
i am hoping that the part i hav ordered NOW from the magna parts list will fit, hopefully it comes soon and i can let you know
