Went to get my car back from my mechanic and he told me that TLs look similar to TJ but its a hell of a difference in every aspect... one thing that he mentioned shocked me... He said that wheel nuts from a TJ would not fit a TL... another thing he said was that the centre bore size of a TL is 5mm bigger than TJ and below... is this true??

I've got KE wheels on my TL, held on with TS wheel nuts. Nothing's gone wrong yet...

ok called mitsu today... If u purchase your TL with "TL stock" 15 or 16 mags they use different wheel nuts from other magnas... so i think only if u have TL stock mags u would be having problems with using those current nuts on another set of nuts... apparently stock mitsu mags has different nuts from aftermarket ones... anyway i am also lost with this... those "special nuts" cost $15.70 each  ...

Those nuts goes with the stock mag wheels. If you purchase aftermarket wheels, then
any aftermarket nuts sold by tyre places will do. Its to do with the shape of the nut face
where it touches the wheel. Its a fact with all mitsu factory mags from at least TR/KR
times. I know cos I couldn't use the stock nuts for the Performance FX5 alloys I got for my
old KS.
