Can anyone tell me the difference (if any) between the two injectors in the pic attached?
The one on the left is from a TP, the right from a TN.
They have the same numbers, except for the 3-digit number on the upper right of each.
The TP is 949, the TN 751.
I'm assuming they are the same part number, with different batch codes, but I want to be sure.
Also, any clue on how much a sonic clean & new o-rings should cost?
Thanx all

well i don't think you will SEE the difference by looking. but im sure the spray patterns are different cos isn't the fpr different on tp (revised?).
As for how much that dependes on the shop. any where from 150 bucks to 200 i recon, possbly more, mind you they might not charge as much if you just bring them a set of injectors instead of them having to remove them and then put em back etc etc

That's kinda what I was asking - so they are different then.

And that was my intention.

im not 100% sure seeing as ive only had tp's but im sure magna buff,o'lfart or stagma could comfirm it. but im fairly confident that the fuel pressure regulator in the tp is better designed which must mean the tp injectors has a different spray pattern.

G'day Buff

Indeed - remember the TP that I broke the auto pump? It runs but with a bad miss, hence the injector questions. Plus I've bought another TP wagon (which I paid too much for).

I'm actuallly going the other way - wrecking the TN & fixing the TP. If the injectors are the same, I assume the rest of the fuel system should be also. I'll be swapping bits one by one till I find what is causing the miss.

Much appreciated - I shall await your message.

The injectors on the TN-TP ARE identical accross the board. I repeat, they are identical. The different numbers at the top are just batch numbers.

Time to pick up this thread again...
I called Mister Bishi for a price on a set of new injectors for the TP - $175 each.
Then I emailed Injectors Online (www.injectorsonline.com) & got a reply saying that the injectors I want are 225cc @ $50ea (pic). He also implied that TP/TR/TS were all the same.
http://www.users.on.net/~hendo42/AMC/225cc.jpg
Now, apart from the fact that they don't look right, I have learned from posts elsewhere on this forum that TP injectors are 270cc & TR/TS are 330cc. I have the TP workshop manual, but can't find any mention of the flow rate.
Can anyone straighten me out ?

I can't remember the exact figures, but the second gen ones actually flow slightly less, but are designed to run at a higher pressure. They do mist a little better for this same reason.

The injectors in the pic at the top flow 214cc pm. Get me the part number from a blue and I will be able to tell you the specs if needed

The number across the top are called part numbers, they will tell you the specs on the injector, and no there are different injectors across the range
