i tried using the search button, it gave me every thread with the word cruise..

anyway about a month ago i noticed my cruise control light wasnt coming on cruise control didn seem to be workin at all, I tried using this thinking maybe its just the light and it might still work.

no luck..

i figured, might be a fuse blown somewhere and left it till now

only to find, there is no fuse for the cruise control!

any other way of checking whats gone wrong?

pretty sure. i checked the car (both boxes), couldnt find anyhing relevant

then checked the manual and it didnt mention anything about it having a fuse. its connected to one of the main battery fuses that alot of other stuff is connected to
(which is fine)

but doesnt seem to have its own..

i have a feeling i might have done somethin to the cruise unit during my last dodgey electronic installation..
I blew a few fuses that day..

feeling abit rich are we??? lol

might be worth a shot but maybe open up your steering wheel and check the cruise control unit itself. its got 3 ressistors on it i think maybe one of them got burnt or something when you did dodgey curry style electronic installation :P

think i have a spare cruise control thingy in the shed. if i can find that just swap it over and see if it works

Make sure it's not sticking either, i had a similar problem and found out the button was stuck in it's casing.

What the F***? 3 resistors? Do you even know what a resistor is?
Check power supply to switch in steering wheel, and make sure the plug is in correctly!

well 3 resistors make sense, thats how most wired remotes work

a current goes through, each button is connected to a resistor, and depending on the resistance the current is getting (what button ur pressing) the unit should detect and react

anyway, i hope its something simple like that

will give it a go

Might be a long shot but last time my cruise control stopped working it was because a break light was out. Can't remember if the light came on on the switch itself or not though.

Good luck.

hmm
well my tail light is out

it might be connected to the light for some kinda switch purposes..

ill replace globe and see

id love it if it were that easy!
