Has anyone else heard about these pulse plugs, They claim to be better than traditional spark plugs, giving better power and economy by generating a bigger spark. It sounds like a genuine development, I wonder what other people think?

It's wrong, how can it draw the same amount of power as a normal plug and then some how release 20,000 times the power it has just drawn.
All it's probably doing is stepping up the voltage of the spark, yes you will have a bigger spark, but are you saying your current one doesn't work at the moment? If you really want to try a bigger spark, take out your current spark plugs and open up the spark gap a little.

Oh no not these again. They seem to resurface every 10 years or so. Just another spark gap in series. Came fitted as standard to some early (1960's era) VW's. The VW's didn't have a high energy ignition system, and it helped cold starting in sub zero temperatures.
They do (kind of) work on some cars, Zoom tested them (they were a plug-top unit, rather than integrated into the plug) - tested 5% gain on one car, 2% loss of power on another. Not designed for modern ignition systems! They can cause the insulation on the ignition coil to punch through!
Once again the old adage rings true - if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
Ugh.
