I got my HeadDeck hooked up today but the guy at JB said there was no where to mount it... So im looking for a Bracket of some sort to hold it... this is what it looks like at the moment.. http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/6807/0108071502lt9.jpg

No offence but most the guys at jb im assuming kotara are absolute nob heads. how much they charge to install it? you can use the bracket the head deck come with to secure it. just bolt that to the sides.

when you get a new head unit it has a bracket on it already, you just slide it off and place it in the hole and bend the tabs so it fits in nicely, the magna is good for that theres cars ive tried have had to use crappy stocko brackets

yeh the square metal thing you just pop in the hole where the head unit needs to go, it should sit flush, then at the back of it there is metal lugs that you bend back to hold it in nice and tight

actually mine isnt bolted in :D it must of been the missus deck i bolted in. but i have all the tabs pushed up so it only comes out with those tools ya get with the deck. r u on msn just gimme a holla if ya need a hand on original_big_willie@hotmail.com

hmm.. it looks like the previous owner of my car has cut that part of the console to make the old h/u fit. Do u think if i goto the wreckers they'll let me buy just that middle peice of the console or will i have to buy the whole console...?

yeah you're right! I used to work at strathfield and we used to just use the can that comes with the deck! just slide it off the deck, into the hole then bend out the tabs and it'll all fit in nicley!

Its all fixed up sweet the person who had the car b4 him cut the surround and took the brackets that should be there on the sides away but we secured it in there pretty good with what we could.

Yea the old owner was a douch bag but thnx to magna_tr-driver its mounted in there good, but its on a bit of an angle, soi went on ebay and bought a whole console for 40$ . Now my h/u will fit better and ive got some spare parts to have a go at painting the console...Again thnx to magna_tr-driver he's a champion, he came over to my house and fitted my h/u after only chatting to me for like 5minutes... Owe u 1 buddy
