Greetings,

I did a quick search and people here seem to recommend Philips 'Vision Plus' for lights. I got a TF and I need both H4 and H1 correct?

Also I'd like the car to be lowered with Kings super low springs. found a decent price on ebay and now would like to know good suspension places that can do fitting job. I don't have any rims at the moment. Just stock wheels. Need to save up for a decent 17inch. Thought I'll get lowering done first.

I noiticed on another thread that price for fitting is around 400-500? Does that include the spring costs? I live bit far away from Syd (Gong) and not sure if any good suspensions exists other than MIDA and K-mart etc.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks fellas.

Hi mate welcome to the club

the eBay link you have there is not a bad price but as far as im aware king springs dont make a super low spring for the rear end of magnas they only make lows

In my opinion i would send the seller an email asking exactly what they are so you dont buy something you arent completly happy with

FYI - Those springs are only kings lows, not super lows. Kings make superlows for the front but not for the rear.
$400 installed for springs (springs supplied) is about the price you'd expect to pay. Springs themselves are approx $200, add a couple of hours labour on top of that.

I'm in vic so no i don't sorry, though my advice is take them to an independant suspension place, places like peddars etc. will charge you full retail on both springs and labour. Don't be afraid to pay a little more, price may have gone up abit in recent times.

ok one local dude quotted me $818 for fitting, springs and alignment. He will be using Lobbles springs. Apparently the justification of higher cost is for removal of back seats when fitting rear springs. I was like, hrmm...

Another one quoted $620 for Kings springs and labour. He had like a 10min chat about having a legal roadworthy car which is true anyways.

So far none in my budget. i was going to spend about 400-500. I'll ring more later.

The back seats take 10-15 mins to do, ask him the labour cost if you remove them yourself. Not hard at all.

Are the 3rd gen strut towers in the rear of the car?
In the 2nd gens you just go into the boot, undo the two bolts holding the strut tower in and she falls down...
dont know why you have to take the back seat out when tehres only metal behind it

Yeh 3rd gens are different, they have the strut towers underneath the plastic parcel shelf covering. Which you need to remove the back seats to get off.

i've removed the seat myself to run stereo cabling. It took me as u mentioned less than 15min! i will ring for more quotes.

Thanks for the pics. looks mad!! auto shift knob looks kool... may i know where u got em from how much it costed? how much have you lowered the car by and what springs etc did you use? how much lowering costed?

the TF i got has a bootlid from a vrx and stock wheels. the owner had a dent in the old lid and didnt want to replace it with a original one  so the bootlid has a vrx spoiler and the sports label lol. talk about wanna be.

anyhow i got the car for very cheap so i really did not comment on it. not really sure whether i should despoil it as there will be holes in the lid and i need to cover em with a respray. i might just remove the sports label off the car.

For the best in lighting without a relay harness installed, use the Philips vision plus H1 and H4's.

For the best output (and I mean it) use Philips Rally or Narva 90/100W H4 and Philips Rally 100W H1s combined with a relay harness using 2 X 30A relays, 3mm2 cross sectional cable. I run this and the difference between the stock bulbs and wiring and these is like day and night!

Do not exceed 100W in the reflectors though, you will turn them blue (and non-reflective). And under no circumstances run overwatts on stock wiring - you will end up with dim light (not enough voltage)

Cheers
