Hi all.
What is involved in fitting the above? Do I need spacers? They rims are aftermarket rims to suit AU/BA Falcon.
Your help is appreciated :)

They will fit fine.
They may stick out abit, if they do it would be barely noticeable.

I've heard BA wheels fit the same as the AU, same offset... Was researching this a while ago and that's what I found.
Spacers are illegal mmkay.

I put (i think EL?) XR8 rims on my 98 magna, and they went straight on with no probs.
BUT there is some difference with the rims though, my hubby has a 1990 EA Falcon, he has the EL rims on his now, BUT he was gonna get new mags but the BA ones wont fit.....have no idea how that works but i assume Ford has changed something.

au/ba wheels are a 35p off set magnas are a 46p that 11mm that they will stick out further than an oe magna rim of the same width...
they will fit fine on a magna providing it's not lowered to the ground

I had these aftermarket BA Falcon 18" rims on my RAV4. When i bought my KJ a year ago I test fitted them onto the car they stuck out past the front guards. In the rear they sat in line with the guards.

Thanks for the pointers guys.
Im more concerned about the rears rubbing...
I think the best way to find out is to trial fit them ;)
Cheers.

In the rear, the only thing that determines if it's going to rub will be the profile tyres you use, nothing to do with make/model, unless the offset made them stick right in. As long as you keep the same diameter overall (tyres + rims) as your stockies you'll be fine.

when I got defected I put the standard wheels off my mums BA onto my TE but they touched the calipers so they couldn't be used on my car!

i'm running r34 skyline (same offset as au/ba) wheels on my TH. they sit out a touch wider than the stock ones, but are still in the gaurds. the rears are fine. i ran wheels of a XG falcon ute at the drags and they stuck out from the gaurds about an inch.

OK guys - finally getting my rims.
Im going to fit a set of 19's off a 200sx with a 245/35/19 tyre - and the guy reckons the offset if +42.
Are my tyres going to rub beause they are 245's?

I'm a bit concerned about that offset personally but I think you should be OK, [TUFFTR] has a set of 19"s why don't you ask him?

they may not rub... there are members on here running 245s. you're probably going to run into problems with the track though. I'm assuming 19x8, and a +42 offset will put you over the 25mm change in track that you're allowed.
most people aren't too worried about track though.

Depending on the offset, 245s will rub on the inside against your rear suspension arms. I had that problem with my Verada. It had 19x8s with a +42 offset.
I'd either go a 235 or upgrade your suspension arms to VRX or Ralliart ones to fit the 245.
Like you've mentioned, just trail fit them, you might be sweet!!

Spacers are illegal and their purpose is to push the wheels further out anyway. Its only use
is fitting more +ve offset wheels onto a car that requires less +ve offset.
Also, make sure the spigot diameters match (that is the centre hole) as that is the load
carrier and not the studs.

The reason spacers are illeagle is because they move the wheel out leaving less thread for the nut to go on. As for the centre of the wheel carring load, most aftermarket wheels have plastic centre bore locators which only locate the wheel so all the weight is carried on the studs anyway. Anyway my 19's do rub alittle on the left rear when I'm loaded.

I have BA 18" - Gladiators on my car... The problem that i have was finding the right CBL (Centre Ball Locater). The magna has a Rotor that is 60.7mm and the BA is 70.6mm, casuing slight shimmer in the ride, so i had to get a machined CBL. But i have also found that these rims had a load bearing of 636kg and the Magna is 670kg, so each tyre is overloaded about 34kgs. You can see this written on the inside of the drivers door.

Bob Jane can supply the hub rings you require. As for the load rating...your tyre will not be overloaded at all. Its just the rims. Don't be too worried about it.

The reason spacers are illeagle is because they move the wheel out leaving less thread for the nut to go on.
You can get hubcentric wheel spacers that utilise the central hub load point to hold most of the weight.
