I know this belongs in 3rd gen forums but I'm currently replacing drivers side engine mount with one from megatron...

I've hacked the rubber bit out and made a hell of a mess in the process, just making sure I need to cut the steel sleeve out of the aluminium body of the mount? The mount from megatron is about 94mm and the inside diameter of the sleeve is 89... just really want to make sure before I go destroying the whole mount.

Yeah you do. I wondered the same thing when doing mine, then chopped it anyway. lol

Yer its done... was a pig to get the bolt back through the mount but otherwise aight.

Would def recommend anyone getting one of these over the puncy mitsubishi mounts, didnt actually realise how weak they are... basically a rubber bag of oil - wonder why they break :nuts:

Should add.. this makes a hell of a whine inside the car from the vibrations through the engine. Bearable but if you're not going to drive it spiritedly I'd get a stock one.
