Is this an easy task that you can perform with a paperclip or a jobbie for the pros?
Just curious to see if everythings ok!
Tried a quick search, but came up with nothing
Thanks all!

You can check the fault codes with an analog multimeter, set it to DC volts then measure the voltage pattern across the 3 and 4 pin on the ecu diagnostics plug. I've got the patterns with their corrsponding errors in a workshop guide, i can scan and upload them if you want.

i found using a red led was easyer to read codes than the analog metere just count the flashes :)

1)Turn ignition to run, don't start the engine

2) Attach timing light/multimeter/led across pins 3 and 4 on the ecu diagnostic plug, the bottom two pins.

3)Each code will begin with a three second pulse, followed by five pulses of either 1.5 or .5 second duration and ending in a three second pause.

Knock yourself up a test pen like this.
