what's it do? do you hear relays clicking over? does it attempt to start?

could be a crank angle sensor

Mine did it due to the AFM causing an error, pulled the plug and put it back on, right as rain

It's not the wrong key is it?? Uncoded key won't start the vehicle!
How many keys do you have?

Check it's a black key. The gray ones don't have the immobilizer thingy in them and so the immobilizer stops the car from starting.

Which is also a good point really. Check the immobilizer and see if it is working properly.

Thats not true. That means i can go to mister minute with a blank key have it cut and start your car.....they are a different chipset in the key, which can't code new master keys.

Have you tried to see if there are any error codes logged???

The grey keys are are called 'Valet' keys.

The only two things it cannot do is open the glove box or open the boot.

Apart from that they are exactly the same as a normal key and can start the car fine.

This (obviously) sounds like an ignition issue. Check ECU error codes.

i took the car to mitsubishi service center to get it fixed and they said the ecu showing an error code so i hope the car will be fixed soon
