Anyone else got a squeak in the front right wheel of the car. Think it might be the brakes because it stops when brakes are on.
Taken it to a mechanic, bloody thing wont squeak when he checks it out.
:? Says it might just bits of brass or something like that in the brakepads jut be worn off. Must be bloody big pieces of brass if its nearly a constant squeak.
Wish it would stop its starting to be heard over the stereo now.
time for a louder stereo i think
Constant squeak you say? goes away when you apply brakes you say?
Sounds like your brake pad is just a little to close to your disc. Your brakes (or many cars i've been in's brakes) squeal when they're only just touching the disc. Put them on harder it goes away. I'd think the dude that aligned your brakes put them on to tight, and they're just touching.
Solution: move brake pad away from disc a bit.

My wheel squeeks. It's not a squeel though, and it does it when going slow.
Other noises my car makes (please help):
-The whole car (well the suspension) squeeks often.
-There is a clunky noise in the rear.
-When going over speed bumps you can hear a sound like air being pumped out. It's very noticable. Shock absorbers??
and when braking (not even very hard) the steering wheel shakes quite a lot.
WHAT IS GOING ON?
*ahh sigh* :(

Steering shake when braking is warped rotors.
Squeaky brakes may be glazed rotors. if not when braking you may need to apply some anti squeal to your pads.

Steering shake when braking is warped rotors.
:| About how much is that going to cost?
What causes that to happen?
