yes it is possible to change ur gear box over, especially if ur changing ur engine, but why may i ask, and the other thing is, if u want more power and a bit more fun go for a manual 5 speed. i believe if u get someone to do the gearbox change over, you will be looking at a couple of G's. good luck

Chagning from a 4spd to 5spd is very hard, as you need to replace the ECU and the BEM (body electrics module) which is near impossible. Also, if you want it to look proper, your dash cluster needs to be replaced aswell as it only has the L 2 3 D. This will be even harder for you if it's a KJ Series II with the high contrast dash. Have a search around the forums, there's a few threads on this.

Engine swap is straight forward, though expensive to find an engine in good condition.

cant coment about the trans swap as i have no idea, but i'd assume the ecu and other electricals would have to be changed too....= big $$$

but the engine swap = easy

i busted my engine and im putting in a low km engine costind approx $1200 all up installed!!

then im going to sell my car though as i dont need it anymore.... but it will be a good pickup and cheap lol
