Hmm, just wondering if anybody has bothered doing so or am thinking of doing.

Have a TW, so the bloody cigarette lighter socket is located in the central console. Have recently bought a GPS and I'm finding it an absolute pain to have the wire leading out of the console bin, across my gearstick and up the console to the GPS unit.

So wondering if

1) Is there any way to access the lighter socket and have the wire run underneath the carpet thru the central console and come poking out thru those holes nearer to the front passenger side near the air con vents?

2) I install another lighter socket near the right side wall of the front passenger area so that can run the wire sort of up the side.

If anybody has other ways of doing so or have done so, am happy to read about it.

Just splice into any electrical point. its all 12 volts .easiest is to splice into the back of the cigg lighter behind the dash.

Can run your wires anywhere from there.

Ground to anywhere on the chassis

Got a lead from supa cheap. Hooked into cig lighter under console. Ran under console and under dash and put female plug behind plastic trim on drivers side A pillar,

Tucked garmin sat Nav lead into dash at windscreen base. Plugged male plug into female at a pillar. Replaced trim. All out of sight. Gps switches on as soon as you turn on ignition
