Foggies are top center.
Two lights facing away from each other would make me say 'Parkers' under normal circumstances but you say it never comes on?

Well if its a warning light you should be happy it never comes on eh?

Correction, Foggies are top center in a TJ, possibly not the same in a KH? verada.

Could be foggies.

The KE/KF didnt have fog light light on the dash.

That light you are talking about above fuel guage is a light for your parkers. Obviously somewhere it is a requirement to tell the driver if you have the parkers on.
We should have it here because with the Verada's hi vis dash setup, if you have it up bright then you cant tell if you have the parkers on or not.

Has anyone taken the dash apart to see if there is an actual bulb in there or not? Maybe it might work if a bulb is put in but i doubt it.

Have you tried High-Beams? I think you'll find it's the High Beams notification light. You know, in case you miss the fact that you can see 200m down the road at night time.

We should have it here

question, where do u think the OP is? :P

also OP has mentioned before its a 2001 KJ Verada... umm fogs are top centre, cant remember off by hand where high beams is... dont bother ripping apart ur dash, i'm sure me or someone else will just go thru the buttons on theres ;) (just cbf right now lol)
imo dont really need a light for parkers, as my dash is set the bit below full brightness when lights are on. also wont drain battery unless u somehow avoid the beeping wen u get out of the car :P

On my dash (TJII AWD) the two places above the fuel gauge are blank.

The two holes are in the plastic mask but there is nothing printed on the shinethrough.

The circuit board below has a spot for two led but they are not included on the board. The white cover for the circuit board has no holes for the light to shine through.

I was going to drill these out and feed wires to move the battery and oil light to these two spots from the centre console. Havnt finished that yet. Would not include the seat belt warning light.

I also have the parkers light symbol in my Rada but it does not light up either. It has to be for the parkers as the same symbol lights up in the instrument cluster of my dad's Toyota Aurion and my sister's Toyota Echo. Maybe the parkers symbol was made operational only in certain markets?

Hi all,

The unkown light above the fuel guage in the Varada's fitted with the 'Hi Contrast' Instruments cluster is in fact the parking light- er, light. This light is apparently only on the models without the trip computer incorporated into them so anything from a KJ2 will not have the imprint for the light. I hated the fact that in built up (Read: well lit) areas i would not remember to put my lights on as i have the instruments at their brightest. I got a stadard 'V2' globe out of a basic wrecked 3rd gen, and plugged it in to the socket and it works perfectly. Lights up as green when the parking or head lights are on. Note that all the dimming and buzzers will also continue working.

Nice one! Looks like i'll have to do the same as sometimes i forget if the lights are on coz the instrument panel is always so well lit up. BTW, what do you mean by a V2 globe?

Same with my KH Verada, only noticed it today actually. Has never lit up for my either. As long as it doesn't light up to indicate a problem I don't care! lol

Hey Mohit

The 'V2' globe is just the lettering on the back of the black plastic thing the globe sits in. its just how i identified it. When you actually get the cluster out you will probably notice that there will be alot of warning globes with V2 on them. Its just that with the base model TE-TH cars, there are a couple of globe sizes to light the various bits. V2 will work is it has on mine.

BTW, The Verada's brilliant Mohit. I liked the KJ alot but when i was buying only Ei's were available and i like the KH rear a little better. Would like the Tippy though!
