Ok....now i know this probably sounds really dumb, but i want to know the easiest way possible to fit a replacment bulb in the parabolic headlights - i need to replace the low beam (H7) bulb, got the old one out no probs, but am struggling to get the new one in place properly (ohh....passenger side )....i cant seem to be able to get that little metal clip thingy to clip back into place - so it tends to wobble around a little.....
As most would know, there is stuff all room to play with, so any good technique tips would be greatly appreciated!

I had the same problem last night
i swear, u need an engineering degree to replace the headlights in magnas!
anyway, make sure the bulb is sitting in the right position, there should be 2 little indents around the edge of the bulb. u can see one here..

make sure it is secure in place, then try really hard for several hrs to clip that metal thing on.
if it gets really difficuly u can remove the headlight and that should save effort.
If u have 2 peice paras, u should just be able to unbolt it out once the indicators are popped off.
if u have on peice.. god help u as u have to remove some bolts from the bumper to lower it before u can remove the paras.
in my experience it is far easier to just take the whole unit out. It is far less fiddly :bowrofl:

i share the frustrating feeling. i was so close to just cracking the sh*ts and getting someone else to do it
but then i thought of how embarrassing it would be walking into a mechanics and asking for a light bulb to be replaced
if u got one piece, just keep trying. if the globe is secure in the right spot. u should be able to clip it in eventually.

I hear ya! Nearly did myself. The way I do it is to take it out from the headlight assembly, making sure I can see the orientation, then put the new bulb into the holder, they put it straight back in, still in the same orientation. Then fold the clip over. Then find a way to see if the headlight beam is in the correct/same spot. You have to take the washer tank off to get at the drivers side light. Don't take the lights out, thats not necessary. The camry was the same, lights don't seem to be held in correctly. I think it may be due to using US headlamp assemblies, retrofitted for aussie blubs. Or I could be taking ****! I've got to do mine soon, I'll take pic if you want
It can't be that hard... Just some patience will do.

It tooks me more than 4hrs to replace my globes on my ralliart. I even cut my fingers while trying to place the clip back on but goodluck doing it!
