hey,

just wondering how you can hook things up to turn on when you hit 100% throttle? eg nitrous oxide

Most people use a microswitch hooked up somehow, rather than interfere with the factory wiring, but if you are hell bent on doing it this way you would find the wiper wire on the factory TPS and hook it up to a voltage switch.

I'd go the microswitch/cam idea myself.

IIRC though Traction control models had two TPS's...

what do you mean the wiper wire on the factory TPS and hook it up to a voltage switch?

TPS is a potentiometer that is referenced to a (roughly - dependent on barometric pressure) 5v signal. One end is +5V and the other is ground. If you get the wiper (the movable arm on the potentiometer) then you sense where the throttle is (hence throttle position).

This is a voltage between (roughly) zero and 5V. You need to work out at what voltage you want to turn on a relay.

With all due respect though, if I have to explain this I think you should think about the microswitch idea - or get someone else to do it - too risky if you don't know which wires to use (or don't use a properly buffered voltage switch).

Cheers
