hey guys i have just received some clear tail lights that i bort brand new off ebay. as soon as i put them in they blew my hazard light fuse and my indicator fuse. i was wondering if anyone would know if its because they have a short in the wiring or maybe i need a bigger fuse to run them? im not sure just guessing. but i did go out and buy more fuses and they kept on popping as soon as i went to use the indicators in any way. and now that i have put the original lights back on everything is fine so that rules out any wiring damage in my car. any help will be much appreciated guys :)

It sounds to me almost like the wiring in the lights are shorting everything out, which would blow the fuse.
I would try a bigger fuse and see how they go, if its still causing problems you might have to get them replaced, which I know is a real bugger on eBay, especially if they've come from interstate.
With any luck someone on here will have those similar lights fitted to a TE/TF/TH Magna and will be able to give you some pointers. (Yours is a TF yeah?)

Well i would say that you have answered your own question lol
I say it would be the lights mate, i never had that problem with my clear lights but you could have just received a dodgey pair!!

man that is quite weird, coz the housing itself has got nothin to do with the wiring:think:
Come to think of it maybe try changing the globes? Seems like a long shot, but if you take the globes out of the stocks and fit them, see if you have the same problems.
Obviously you can't drive around with the stock globes in the after market lights (needs coloured globes yeah? if I'm think of the right lights) but it will rule things out one by one.

Fit standard globes with coloured globe condoms and they will work awesomely :)

That advice could lead to disaster, putting in bigger fuses could burn something out,the fuses are there to blow if there is a problem.Using a higher rated fuse can cause overheating and damage to wiring or other components.
