hey guys, just thought id put up a post about my latest additions to my daily magna.

started the first stage on my last two days off
fitted the valves, tank, compressor, switch box and preasure switches.

bought a full kit, strut front and cylinder rear.
hopefully i will get this to lay right out on its rails as i am doing alot of cutting to do so.

Would look better if you got a bodykit to set it off... otherwise its got the "stock magna with bogun chopped springs" look... is further down the plans?

great idea, only thing is by the looks of it, the kit would be hitting the ground!

but yes, a VRX kit (and a KJ rear) would look awesome!

13-08-2007, 11:41 AM
cheers guys

money wise it has not been that bad really. compared to what it could of cost anyways.
once i have finished the full setup, it will cost about 3.5k

if anyone wants a kit and fitting instructions, im happy to get them one and supply fitting instructions for what it cost me.

should have the front done in about a week, if all goes to plan

^^ I don't think you'd actually drive around at that height though?

As long as you normally drive at a legal height, and the kit is legal/engineered, I don't know how it'd be unsafe

I reckon it looks hot. I agree with Poita though, just make sure you do some more cosmetic mods after you finish bagging it to get rid of the bogan look :P

Sorry to be a party pooper but that is unsafe and just plain ridiculous.

unsafe? only when actually be dropped (which can just be done in carparks, shows, etc etc)... i dont know how much the OP would actually drive like that... would attract alot of attention from the red and blue!

do u know wat airbags are and how they operate...?

sooooooooooooooooo low lol

Asylum
06-09-2007, 12:57 PM
if you do decide to get some skirts and wheel arch flares, you could have it sitting flat on the ground, bumper/skirts and all, while still keeping the rims tucked up in the guards that much!

sly200
06-09-2007, 09:07 PM
thanks for all the coments guys.

the photo of the boot from the back has been photoshopt, but thats what im currently doing.

i thought about kitting it, but its already too low, i already catch my bumper on the floor sometimes, so i dont want to stuff up a kit if it fit one.

wheels came out good. as for the old idea for wheels, i could not lower it enough, so the got the flick.

new pics and vids will be up soon

Hey man,

Looks awsome!!! im currently baggin my TE got 3/4 of it done last weekend but due to the APEC summit they reccon my cans got held up in sydney. I have everything run except the top of the struts gotta be put on the cans and thrown in.

I couple of questions.

1. When you said you cut heaps of stuff do yo mean under the guards? and how/what did you chop under there? you didnt tub the guards or anything did you?

Ive been told when i remove the plastic stuff under the frount guards theres a lip i can grind off and bash in.?? in the back i cant see it would hit anything till the sway bars hit the top of the guards?

2. with the cans was it heaps dodgy cutting the tops of the struts and welding them onto the cans?

Im ready to put the cans in and some minor wiring. SHould be finishing it of on the 22nd weekend.

Also i got cans for all 4 wheels and my kit from www.probag.com.au for $2450
but his bagged a fair few people i knows cars/utes and the workshop is 15 mins from my olds

CHeers.

next is the shaving, doors and boot. this idea is copy right to me magna, hehe

for a easier, less custom way to do the rear, swap it all for KL stuff

the bootlid is more metal than the TE-TH models, so would be MUCH easier to fill in the shallow numberplate area, rather than the entire bottom half of the TE boot

the rear bumper already has the style line removed, no custom work needed :D

the taillights also could be swapped for KL-KW (or altezza's if thats your thing) which would set it off!

nice camber !. there is a wagon on here all shaved up it looks f-in awsome. you gonna do it yourself? just a warning it would be a good idea to buy another remote and link that up before you go shaving the fronts cause the remotes seem to die at random times in my experience! it would be sick to shave and get those magnetic door poppers. run your key past the door and she opens:badgrin:
