Straight through design muffler coupled with a reasonable baffle will nullify most drone (while maintaining desired aftermarket note)... You're best off ordering something locally IMHO (those look like eBay piccies...) or sticking with your executive tri-flow muffler lol

Well, u can't get rid of the Magna ~1800 RPM reverberations. Exhaust design fault.
It will be reduced by some 30% with headers, but still exists. Less restricting muffler just makes it more evident - hence std very restrictive muffler manages to cover it nicely.

I found that it is less noticeable with a errrrm ' highly flowed cat ' also lol

on my last magna i had a redback centre system with a lukey rear section and had the big centre muffler removed and it sounded good and didn't really drone at 100kmh. i currently have a redback centre system with the muffler still intact and a stupid cannon on the rear and it sounds nearly the same, just not quite as barky. i am going to change it back to how i had the system on my last magna.

Redback IS aussie made...thats an Australian symbol on the sticker...made in Vic. Redback is ok. You can ad an extra hotdog to help with droning if it is a problem to you...i would say to do the same for the lukey.

does this mean that when a exec changes its exhaust to a direct bolt on sports/VRX muffler it still need like a resonator or something like that??? looking at changing my muffler to like a sports/vrx one to have that little extra note when the car is pushed... not after those that will turn heads when u start the engine... i heard that the Lukey LR2779 is my best option other than getting one froma sports or vrx... would i still need to put on a resonator if i purchase a stock vrx/sports muffler??

No you won't. I originally added the Lukey muffler to my stock system and it was fine. No droning anywhere. Also pretty bloody boring IMO - like very little in the way of improvement in quality of sound for the money. I ended up with a full front to back Redback system (one resonator, one final muffler only). Very fruity exhaust note, no droning anywhere, and none of this mystical 1800 rpm reverb people are talking about (even after later adding ceramic coated Pacemakers). So my advice is save your money and get a full Redback system.

i am going to cut the centre muffler out this weekend and just run the small resonator (just before the rear axle) and a cannon on the rear and see how that sounds. if it annoys me then i will just put a lukey muffler on the rear and it will be how i had the last setup which i liked the sound of, but actually thought it could be louder.

Just a question thats sorta on this topic, I'm looking at getting just the rear section of the redback exhaust (so STR361) since I already have a straight-through muffler. Will that effect the sound all that much?

also anyone know the price on just the rear part?

so do you currently have a cannon on the rear? if yes, then putting the redback rear system on should quieten it down slightly.

Nah man no cannon, its an oval straight through (simular to the LR2779). Still wanting a sporty sound (what I've got atm) when i drop the foot so no sure if the redback is a good way to go. I should also say that I do want to put a 2.5 cat-back on so its either the redback or custom system
