haha all broken. That would be about right, I did my centre console a while ago and there was only one that I found at u-pull-it that wasnt broken and it was the wrong colour, so I painted the whole centre.

There are two that I know of, the base model ones where its just a flat holder/cup. And the elite/se ones where it has a lid (below).

I'll check next time I go to the wreckers for you, there's a few new cars that they've added within the last week or so, elante with dark blue interior and a GT with no idea what, so some of them might not be cracked.

Not sure what colour you're after but it's a good chance to paint the whole thing when you have it out. lol

They are nearly all brittle these days due to age and the effects of heat on the plastic. A few years ago, when the console on my first Magna became brittle, I tried something that may be of interest to some of you.

The console was reasonably intact but had big cracks in it from people leaning on it when getting into the car. It was not going to last much longer, so I took it off, turned it upside down and coated all of the underside of it with fibreglass resin and cloth.

After it dried, I trimmed off any loose fibreglass strands but didn't bother trying to sand the surface smooth. As it was only coated on the underside, the rough finish wasn't visible when fitted.

The result was much better than I expected. Apart from the added strength of the fibreglass, the resin seemed to rejuvenate the plastic so that it was no longer brittle. Unfortunately I wrote off the car a few weeks later so the effort was wasted but I wouldn't hesitate to do the same again.

Yeah ? damn thats a big improvement over the the TM and TN ones. They should fit on a TN elante ? I really dont like mine.

EDIT: or it could be the angle that makes it look different.

i wish i had thought of that a few months back wen my console still looked like a centre console. now it looks like sumones jumped on it!

Yeah my console broke at every mounting point, then it just vaporised when I dropped my phone on it!

If you find a nice one you could make a good fibreglass mould off it, then sell the replicas! I'm not sure there's a huge market though...

I had a completely uncracked, totally intact and in great nick lidded console. I got it when I had the grey wagon. I fitted it to the TN, ooh, Wednesday or Thursday, and wrote the TN off on the Saturday. Wasn't able to rescue it out of the wreck

I have a low end console here, it's rather ratty, but sound, and better than nothing, if you're in Vic, give us a yell.

No kidding, I found a perfect condition centre, it's an SE/Elite style one with a perfect lid, velvet insert is a little worn though.

I'll hold it for when you're in Adelaide if you want.

Went to U-Pull-It today, as I was walking up to the car, I saw it looked like it had been pillaged.

I had a look in and only the seats and some of the console were taken. The center was still in perfect condition so I quickly got it out of there before someone else did.

It was a new addition in the yard, and it was an elite, so I'm not surprised everyone had attacked and robbed it off it's nice clean parts already.

Cost $20, floater05 has first dibs on it. I'll go grab some pics soon.

Wow! That is in awesome condition!

Mine was starting to look a little secondhand, as it went through two car accidents. Bitching that I couldn't rescue it.

Yer I know, it's in great condition. I was actually bummed to find it, I have just repainted and put on in mine, best one that I could find and it has a crack. :(
