Well after putting it off for months on end, i have finally fitted my 34adm falcon carby onto my car.

had to weld up a bracket for the TPS and to hold the throttle cable.

still yet to join up the cruise control to the new carby. but for the moment i'm quite happy to just floor the car :D that throaty sucking noise makes people turn their heads to look whats coming. exhaust is also a lot deeper in note. yet to do a 0-100 time, but i estimate around 9-10 seconds.

need to upgrade the fuel pump or get a regulator as the carby uses up the juice real quick when flooring and starts to lean out. from 0kmh, it starts to lean out at around 5k. but if you kick back to first or second, shes quite happy to rev up to 6.5k

regained all my low down torque... its time for some new tyres :P . although i have the problem of the float closing the needle turning right - especially from the axel tramp from the wheelspin. gonna try adjusting the float again.

atm running the stock falcon jets - seems to be running fine considering. when i get time i'll have to change over the jets and get it tuned.

problems to fix include:
adapt cruise control to new carby
rejetting
dead spot only when carby is cold - vac related i reckon
idle speed too high
no idle up for airconditioner
float level - lean out when hard cornering right

will post pics tomorrow.

update: well without even tuning or rejetting the carby... i am getting about the same economy from this carby as i did the old one. considering i've basically been flooring it everywhere. :D

0-100 time approx 9 seconds... keep in mind this is an automatic. will get a vid when i get around to it.
