From what I have read in the last year or so, and I'd love someone to correct me if I'm wrong, Lovells springs are a bit softer than the Kings springs. I think they both drop about the same (I'm writing about low springs - not superlows) but the ultimate drop depends on the car. I've noticed that just about each second generation magna has a slightly different ride height to start with anyway.

I also believe that one of the two has actually one less coil in it than the other. I think this would be the Lovell spring. The result of that is it's less likely to bottom out and the coils compress against each other when hitting a bump. This might account for the slightly softer ride…? Can anyone confirm this? I've also heard that the Lovells can sag a little over time.

I think most people have agreed that KYBs are the way to for shock absorbers/struts, but I am unsure if these are just higher quality or are dimensioned to work with lower springs. My suspicion is they are a higher quality shock that will withstand the extra punishment delivered by shorter springs.

My own plan is to install KYBs all round and Lovell low springs as I like the idea of a slightly softer ride - I drive in the country a bit.

Can anyone lese add their two cent's worth?

I though I'd bump this thread a bit. I know a fair few of you have lowered 2nd gens how about posting what suspension mods you have done and letting us know how happy you are with it?

It would be good to build a solid base of information on this topic and maybe sticky it for future readers.

Amount of drop?
Quality of ride?
Improvement in handling?
Cost?
Who you got do do it?

What do you think?

Amount of drop? Superlows Front, Low rears Dropped another 1.5"
Quality of ride? Bouncy to say the least, still a bit soft in the front and nosedives a bit too
Improvement in handling? ALOT better then stock but still alot more improvement to be made
Cost? all up $720ish
Who you got do do it? Installed it myself :)

What do you think?

Also have a front strut brace but ill be getting a rear sway bar when funds allow:)

What brand of springs did you use TUFFTR? Are you using the original shocks?
