Hi everyone, I am new so i appologise if this has been discussed before, I have a TH Magna VRX (my sexy beast) and lately shes having probs with cental locking. When i unlock her with key or remote (both have same prob) she Unlocks, locks, unlocks, and relocks, this can happen anywhere from 4 times to like 2-3 mins worth. It is very annoying.
Anyhow steps i have attempted to take to resolve issue:
New Battery: problem went away for 6 days
New Alternator Belt (had to be replaced anyway): did this 1 1/2 weeks ago and have not had this problem since.
However my question is does my central locking problem relate to the battery or not? will it return again to piss me off?
Thanx Guys
Bella

The exact same thing used to happen to my brother's KE wagon. We discovered that water was getting in under the windscreen seal, and getting into the BCM (body control module) on the firewall under the dash. It's a bit of a pain to get to, but I'll say with almost 100% certainty that it's your problem.
You'd be looking at one of the modules that control the central locking, getting way confused.
If your not game to pull stuff apart and test yourself, ring up a car security company like Steves Car Alarms and get them to pop in and have a look at it.

My car has the same issue.
The reason for mine was that the sensor in the pasenger side door was sending the wrong signal to the acctuator. Had it replaced and its gone away. Every now and again it happens so i open and close all the doors and its fine.
If all else fails use your key to lock it, should shut it up.

try just calling a company and ask how much for a service... may not be as expensive as u think, and they will have to check everything about the alarm, check all sensors etc.
new alarm - over $300, service - less than $80 or so... up to u i guess!
*bear in mind a new alarm install will get hooked up to the factory central locking, it wont get replace... so the problem will remain ;)
