I'm looking into doing some work to my 380 S2 platinum, i get the feeling from a few threads iv'e read that the engine has allot of potential that can be tapped into with a few mods.
I was wondering if anyone knew exactly what is possible, I'm not huge into the modification scene and don't exactly know what does what and what kind of gains i could get.
So I'm hoping you folks here can point me in the right direction in terms of what is and is not possible and where best to get the work done, i live in Melbourne btw, in Watsonia which is i think east Melbourne....only been here 9 months :D.
Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

All the standard stuff, custom extractors, custom cams, head shave, flowed heads.

You could go turbo or supercharged, but there big dollars.

The best option I can see is to fnd out if the DOHC version out of the US Galant will fit.

As above, but be patient, a few of us are working on some light mods.

Today I'll be seeing an exhaust shop about my system and discussing various options. I'm going to be willing to experiment for the best outcome. Results I'll post back.

In my opinion, the best value modification (ie best gain for lowest dollar outlay) is exhaust change. Start by replacing standard system from (3rd?) cat to rear tip with a (2.5"?) sports system (described by Knotched in another thread here) that eliminates 1 (just 1?) of the 3 headers, and change the big rear muffler with a smaller sport one.
After that you can replace the headers with aftermarket ones, which will also free up some power.
Then there's cams, chip change, and other things, but starts costing a lot more.
