bonjour all,
I just came across a KE verada at a wreckers and im going to gut it's interior. Now i pulled out the centre console today and realised it has plugs in the back of ash tray and in the middle console which my exec doesnt have. will i need to get those sockets from the verada or will the wiring be in my car just without the plugs/sockets? Also could i strip the entire door trim and steal the power windows? Where abouts is the power window module?
Thanks for any replies, im sure this has been covered but couldnt find what i wanted searching.
HEDGIE:badgrin:
edit KE, my bad

Sorry minor correction, the Veradas start with a K ie KE, Magna's start with a T
I assume the doors could be stripped of motors etc.
Not sure what module you mean.
They just have a motor and switch on each door.

ah ok, i thought there might be a module in the middle somewhere so as i can put the rear ones down from drivers door etc.?

nope that is done when you press the switch for the other window on the drivers arm rest.

lol sorry this is what i mean, if i push down the rear window button on the drivers door, how is it going to know to put the rear door down if there is no connection between the doors? thats why i thought there could be a chip or mudule somewhere that will connect all the doors to the drivers door?
what else should i strip off it aswell? so far im getting, centre console, ashtray, middle compartemnt lid, and door trims and handles. only one of the para's was there and the roof light was already gone. :(

I am sure they just connected by wiring from door to door.
I would check what your door fittings look like before attempting this.
Your car doesnt have electric windows correct?
You will need heaps.
All trims, switches, motors, wiring(I think) and probably a few other bits to fit it all.

nah my car doesnt have elec's. So yeah i would be ripping out the whole door gizards. and putting them in my car.!:D But before i do buy all that and go to the effort of installing them all i want to make sure its gonna work. Depends how much they are gonna charge really.

good luck,its a big job !
Short cut would be to use newer magna switches that go in the centre consol but doesn't suit your plans with the wreck you stripping.

well i done this mod when i had my car stripped for body work!
u will need the whole wiring loom from behind the fuse box that goes down the drivers side of the car out of the verada (this continues through to the boot as well and crosses over the middle of the car under the front seats!), all the door trims including switches, all the rails and motor mech etc thats on the inside of the door, the fuses and relays etc thats in the fuse box in the engine bay, and a bit of patience :doubt:
well worth the effort tho! good luck :P
