I purchased the following because we are family from the Tonsley factory.

The Molten Red is a series 3 GT with Sat nav.
It is the one that was used as the Mitsubishi Media Release Car. :)
It has all options including the Ecllipse sat nav and tinted windows,tow bar,sun roof etc.
It also has sequel 56 vapour injection.

The silver GTL was going to have a spoiler fitted and we placed it on the back to see what it would look like....but the old bloke didn't want one.....LOL

Finally the silver VRX is optioned up to GT specs.
It has sunroof, VRX leather, bluetooth and of course Sequel 56 vapour injection.

I paid $10 for the colour coded spoilers and have a few spares :)

The cars were an absolute steal at $22-25k each.



i have included a pic of the Molten red 380 GT before the VRX spoiler was fitted...

I drove the VRX from Nailsworth in adelaide to geelong one Friday night without plates, just a permit...and got some interesting looks...:)

for those who dont know this has had a facelift from standard LX front and rear bars and grill, to VRX series 2 and the like

the grey itself may be a boring colour, but once the sun hits that metallic and pearl, she really looks the part

Just looove how low it sits and looks,and did i mention the ride and handling.....fantastic.....sits on a set of PEDDERS Sports Ryders...works for me.

Put the 90mm intake on as well,only other plans are to do the rear exhaust and get a bit of a note happening.

My new-to-me 2008 VRX. Coming from an AU2 XR8, power is down, but in some ways it is more enjoyable to drive.

It's staying stock (well, as stock as it can stay in my hands). So, having said that........mods so far:


King 17 x 7.5" rims with 245/45/17s
Galant intake (it's like the Mitsu version of the tickford/turbo snorkel for AUs/BAs)
BA pedals (yes, they fit, with a little modding, and they came sans Ford branding, so bonus there)
Samsung bluetooth
Reverse camera (monitor to come, but the camera's in).
The all important Red brakes!

19x8" 'Tak' wheels currently running on Falkens and Michelins, 245/35 R19
90mm Galant intake installed
Berklee Muffler installed
10" Kenwood subwoofer installed running into mono block amp wired into stock headunit

..and blue LEDs for front foowell/under rear seats are on their way which I must admit I'm quite excited for! ;-)

Also borrowed Mecha's idea of black-taping front spoiler =) However took the idea further and black taped underneath the front air intake (like S3) and also the mitsu badge for something fun lol

Seems that the leather/sunroof/mirror combo with the 5spd manual is pretty rare, as in rare as hens teeth - I glance over carsales occasionally and I've seen one other car with that combination? And even then it wasn't in Electro Blue haha!

I'm looking at getting 19" rims for my 380 VRX but from reading these forums im a little confused about the specs for the wheel sizes. Can you assist? Is there only a certain size of wheels required for the 380?

Recently bought this manual black series 1 VRX... oh yeah, with a Sprintex S5-335 nestled in the engine bay too :happy:

Car arrived last week - dyno printout came with it. Car dynoed at 140 kW @ wheels on the same dyno before the addition of the supercharger - so by my calcs that's approx 251 kW at the flywheel now. I've yet to get it approved for rego in WA so only driven it briefly on a temp permit, but judging by my ass-o-meter, I'd say all 251 kW are there :happy: Traction off the line on stock 215/55r17's is a balancing act, but roll-on acceleration in second and third is epic! :woot:

Here is my baby, just got her this past Thursday (18 Dec 2014). 2008 Platinum Edition, in platinum silver.

I took her home for a steal, $5,995, with 218,000kms. Overall she looks almost perfect, with only some minor seat wear (the silver/gray panels are showing signs of threads coming loose), a small ding in the front left corner of the bumper under the foglight, and a couple of very minor painted over rock chips. The body work will be fixed up when I save up to get the VRX lights and lip spoiler, along with the wing spoiler, then I will have them repaint and fix up the body to make it 100% like it should be. One thing that I thought amusing was that it has an aftermarket radio, but the factory one was included in the new radio's box in case I want to switch back to it.

After two days and approx 130kms, due to finding reasons to go out and drive it, I can say that this car is absolutely wonderful. The only thing I want to do is adjust the shift points on the transmission computer, and see about tightening up the shifts a little bit. 2-3 is just a bit too slow for me on a push of more than 50% throttle. Though, it's a lot quieter than I was expecting out of a large V6 engine.

Here is my 380! This is the 2nd car I have ever owned. Before this I was driving a crusty old ute.
Have always loved the style of the Magna, and instantly fell in love with the 380 when I first saw one a few years back.

Currently I know very little about 380s and cars in general.. But I want to learn all there is! :)
