I just got a 99 KH Verada and was wondering if i could take out the stock speakers out of the door and replace them with pioneer 6.5" coaxial speakers. Would the tweeters still work the same or not? and is the hole big enough in the door?
thanks, danny :doubt:

i wouldnt put coaxials in the front doors
they just dont sound as good as splits
spend the extra money and grab yourself some 6 1/2" splits
and also some verada tweeter pods for the tweeters to sit in

yeah what he said
also they will fit, but will be smaller than the stock speakers, so you need to just screw into the plastic..
get splits, megatron had a special on response splits $120 iirc and much better than what you were thinking about putting in

If you are after a simple speaker upgrade to run off a decent deck, then co-axials might be enough. If they are part of a future audio overhaul then some decent splits would be a better option. It all depends on what you want to achieve and what your budget is...
